Tottenham Hotspur captain Son Heung-min has paid tribute to teammate Ben Davies. Who has served the club for over 10 years, describing him as a family member and even a godfather to the Welsh defender.

Davis joined Spurs in the summer of 2014, a year ahead of Son, meaning he has now completed a decade in Spurs uniform ยูฟ่าเบท. 

And because they have gone through both good and bad experiences together. He been through many coaches and waited for their first trophy. It has become so close in many dimensions that the South Korean players now see the 31-year-old left-back as someone from the same hometown. 

“I play at a club where the players are close. But with Ben it’s another level,” he told the club’s official website.

“I can tell that guy is a family member, someone I can trust.” 

“He was also assigned to be godfather to Ralph, Ben’s son.” 

“Being invited to take on that role was amazing. The incident where that guy dragged me to meet his family was even more incredible.” 

“I personally have never had the experience of being a godfather to anyone before. Until I did, believe it or not, even though the child was not mine, I was still so touched.” 

“It still touches me that Ben thought of me and wanted me to do that job.” 

Spurs’ squad are currently in Japan for their 2024 pre-season tour, sweating through a training session on Wednesday morning in Tokyo’s 35C temperatures. 

For the next warm-up game, they will meet Vissel Kobe, the latest J – League champions , at the National Stadium ( 27 August ) , then go to South Korea to compete in the K – League All-Stars (31 July ) and Bayern Munich ( 3 August )   .
